HIV 1& 2 Antibodies~An HIV test will not detect the presence of the HIV virus immediately after exposure.
Statistics show that 96% (perhaps higher) of all infected individuals will test positive within 2 to 12 weeks. In some cases, this may take up to six months.
This test enables the detection of HIV 1 and 2 Virus antibodies and the P24 Antigen in a blood sample.
The service includes obtaining 'informed consent' following an informed discussion about the HIV test.
Telephone contact by a Medical practitioner or where appropriate a nurse Practitioner will be made as part of this test to explain the results and how to proceed.
How to complete the testSimply telephone the helpline in your kit to arrange for a blood sample to be taken from our network of private surgeries and hospitals. You can also have your blood sample collected from your home address.
Your results can then be obtained 5 days after we recieve your test simply and anonymously by entering your user id and password in our log in section. The log in will confirm that your results are ready however due to the sensitive nature of a HIV test, you will be called by one of our trained personnel to discuss your result.

This test consists of all the items needed to complete a blood test at our laboratory, the Gold Standard in this type of testing. This includes full instructions, the test components and details on how to visit one of our network of private hopsitals and surgeries where your blood will be collected by trained personel. The kit itself is double wrapped in case the package is damaged in transit and a security seal must be broken to use the test. The package itself is completely discreet with no external marking of Veolabs.

How do I receive my results?
Your results will be available for you 5 days after your test is received at our laboratory. Your results will be available to view on our secure server 24 hours a day by entering the results page on our website.
You will need to enter your unique customer ID and code which you will receive with your test to retrieve your results. These will be displayed on the screen along with information pertinant to the test results. Your name and address will be withheld from the report to allow your complete anonimity. Only you and our laboratory know the unique combination of customer ID and code.
